Become a Board member
The St. Boniface Museum Board is an entity of the City of Winnipeg, enacted by the municipal St. Boniface Museum By-law No. 4824/88. The Board is appointed in whole by Council and includes eight (8) members of the public and one (1) member of Council. As such, it falls under the jurisdiction of the City Clerk’s Department’s Boards and Commissions, whereby Council has delegated the responsibility for the management and administration of certain public services to autonomous bodies.
Every September, the City Clerk's Department initiates an annual selection process to fill citizen member positions to Boards and Commissions on which there are imminent or existing vacancies. Canadian citizens who reside in Winnipeg and who are entitled to vote in municipal elections are eligible to apply for these volunteer positions. Because the St. Boniface Museum Board’s language of work is French, citizens interested in this volunteer position must be able to understand French.
Additional information is available on the City of Winnipeg’s website: https://winnipeg.ca/clerks/boards/boards.stm If you are interested in submitting your application and would like to be added to a mailing list once the annual call for submissions process is underway, please contact the Board Chair, Mr. Serge Gautron, at info@msbm.mb.ca.
