Family Fun Activities!

Come join in the fun at the Saint-Boniface Museum! Take part in activities from the good old days including Butter Making, Quill Pen Writing, Laundry Day, Embroidery, Historic Sports and Voyageur Games.

Secrets of the Old Convent

Step back in time and discover the Secrets of the Old Convent, as told by two “Grey Nuns” of the Red River Colony. Listen to their stories and enjoy iced tea with “pets de soeur” – the nuns’ special treat. Come before or after Theatre in the Cemetery!

Walking Tours

A Bridge over Muddy Water

Join us for an hour long walking tour along the famous Red River. Dive into the storied history of the river separating two rival communities, languages and ways of life. Discover the back-story of the bridge which has now tied the two sides together and became a Winnipeg landmark

Cathedral City

Stroll through the oldest cemetery in Western Canada where Manitoba’s heroes are buried. Catch a glimpse of the new Cathedral nestled within the ruins of the fire-gutted Basilica. Join us Monday through Friday at two for an hour long tour of Saint-Boniface and discover how the largest francophone community in the West developed.

Parks Canada Presents…

It’s a Wonderful Manitoba, a 45 minute family-friendly play created for Manitoba homecoming. Join the Golden Boy on a whirlwind journey through Manitoba’s history and meet colourful character like Nellie McClung, Julie Riel and Ernest Thompson.
